Ashley Huyge grew up reading scary stories and watching the X-Files. She is attracted to strong, character driven tales of terror because nothing is scarier than life itself.

 

Writing horror stories is an act of resilience, providing a safe space to practice bravery through recreational fear. Her writing has appeared in Darkness 101, a flash fiction horror anthology, and online in Dreams Walking.

She is a member of the Horror Writer's Association and serves on the Mental Health Initiative Committee. In addition to her writing, she's also on the editorial team for Glossy Planet Literary Magazine as a submission reader.

A transplant living in Southern California, she enjoys supernatural movies, Americanos, and sunshine from a shaded vantage point. She lives with her husband, her cats, and her dreams.
